About Serena

Making your garden work for you.

 

Serena provides horticulture advice and guidance about getting the best out of your garden as well as a full garden design service.  Designed to your needs, Serena finds practical and imaginative solutions to create a garden of your dreams maximizing the potential of your outdoor space.

A keen and experienced gardener for over thirty years with a passion for plants and an interest in garden history.  Serena enjoys growing plants from seed for the flower, ornamental or vegetable gardens.  Serena has a Diploma in Horticulture (Distinction) and Diploma in Garden Design (Distinction).   Serena is a member of the National Hardy Plant Society and Somerset group, regularly attends lectures and participates in group garden visits and contributes to newsletters.  Serena is also a member of the Cottage Garden Society National and Somerset groups attends lectures and garden visits.  Member of the Royal Horticultural Society, attending lectures, visiting gardens nationwide to develop ideas and practical experience for design projects.  With a keen interest in Garden History and has recently achieved a Certificate in Garden History.

Serena believes in working in harmony with nature to create a unique outside space that will be your own little piece of paradise.  A retreat from the everyday worries of the outside world.

Serena has professional experience of working with people with disabilities and young children and would help create gardens for people whose access may be limited or have particular care needs.
